Soufriere has a new mayor

The city of Soufriere, considered the mecca of tourism in Saint Lucia, also has a new mayor and councilors who will administer the affairs of the Constituent Council over the next two years.

Yasha Troubetzkoy, CEO of Jade Mountain, was appointed Mayor of Soufriere/Fond St Jacques.

The Constituent Council of Soufriere/Fond St. Jacques held an inauguration ceremony where Troubetzkoy took the oath along with a team of councilors.

The ceremony was attended by the Parliamentary Representative for Soufriere/Fond St Jacques, Emma Hippolyte, and Stephenson King, Interim Minister for Local Administration.
